A lettuce garden, what more do you want?
On a beautiful warm summer evening last week, I was fortunate enough to go along to the Brambley Hedge Nursery in Sprustow, Tarporley for their annual open evening. The lovely Kate, the assistant manager showed me the different rooms from the newborns and babies room with comfy cots and lots of toys, to the big boys and girls room with plenty of space and activities to keep them busy.
At the back of the nursery is a wonderful sensory garden full of different plants, different types of surfaces and also a summer house for the children to play in. There is a huge canopy to shade from the sun or to keep dry on rainy days so the children can be outside most of the time.
There are lots of activities for the children to do and play on including a Forest School area. There are huge tyres to run through, a tree house, goal nets and an allotment space. My favourite section is the lettuce garden.
Towards the back of the area is the Forest School, this is a great space for children to explore. Every Friday, a member from the Forest Tribe comes to the nursery to educate the children and develop new skills in a woodland type environment.
The children are obviously very happy here and that is clear to see especially from looking at the photographs on the wall. What a lovely place for children to spend their time, to make friends and to have fun.
When was the last time you had a family portrait? Summer is a great time for outdoor photography. If you are interested in booking a portrait session either in my Tarporley studio or someone else in Cheshire, please call 01829 532 516 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
