I have the best news to share with you. I know I have been a little bit quiet lately but I have a very good reason why.
In August, I became a mummy to the beautiful Charlotte Rose.
Wow, motherhood is amazing. Life changing but totally amazing. If you are a parent yourself, you will remember the joy of your little one coming into the world. The long sleepless night. Their first smile. Their tiny fingers and toes. I am right in the middle of the newness what a baby brings and I am loving it. Everyone has said to me, I bet you have taken lots of photographs of Charlotte already and whilst I have taken a few portraits of her (and a million snaps on my phone), I have not taken as many as I thought. Being a new mum is time-consuming. The days fly by. I totally get that portraits are not the first thing on your mind when a new baby arrives.
'I didn't give you the gift of life, life gave me the gift of you.'
However, though tired eyes, I did manage to get some photographs of Charlotte that I will cherish for the rest of my life and hopefully Charlotte will appreciate a beautiful portrait of herself as a baby to show her children one day. You see, a photograph is not just for the here and now, it is a priceless heirloom that can be passed down through the generations. It can mark a milestone in a child's life, a safe arrival, a first birthday or Christmas or a celebration of a family. Whether you hire a professional photographer, have a friend who has a good camera or simply use your phone, capture those precious moments. Little Charlotte has changed so much in 2 months. I am so glad I took some photographs of her when she was newborn.
I am already back to work so if you would like a beautiful Christmas portrait, please get in touch. I have limited availability so do not leave it too late. For more information about my Christmas Mini Sessions, click here.
