Business Mum in the Frame - Kate Christina

March 11, 2019

My name is Kate and I run Baby Sensory Northwich, Frodsham & Tarporley. Until 2014 I was an Assistant Head teacher of a primary school but after having three children of my own I decided it was time for a change. I had been attending Baby Sensory classes with my third baby and absolutely loved every session. It was during a class that I decided to look into available territories I could start my own classes in.

Within three weeks of my initial email I had signed a contract with Baby Sensory, booked the training and resigned from my teaching job!!! It was an extremely scary time but so exciting and I loved the thought of a new challenge.

I launched my first classes in January 2016 with 41 customers booked on. By the start of the next term I had 75 and the business continued to grow. It was incredible and the feedback from so many ladies was wonderful.  I had taken a massive gamble/ risk in finishing my job but it was paying off.

Baby Sensory has been a lovely change and an incredible experience. I have met so many amazing mums and babies over the years.
Whilst there have been times of extreme pressure and stress I am so grateful and happy that so many mums have chosen to attend my classes.

I would highly recommend anyone considering a change of career or becoming self employed to do it. It has given me opportunities I would never have had in my teaching career.

If you would like to join us at any point you can email me at northwich@babysensory.co.uk

Kate is an amazing example of someone who is doing what they love.  Kate is full of enthusiasm and energy and it really shows in the class.   Lottie and I attend her class every week and have done so since November and we both love it.  Kate's class is different every session with so many different activities for the little ones to do, you could never get bored.

I love the structure of the class because half way through the session, there is a little break in which the mums can sit and have a chat whilst the babies have explorative play.  This is something I value so much and I know other mums look forward to chatting with other mums about all things mum like comparing how much sleep you have had recently...ha.

If you have not been to a baby sensory class, I really would  encourage you to get it a try, I am sure you and your baby will both love it.
